Venturer Launches Digital Converter Box 4/17/2008

Venturer Electronics today announced the launch of its first Digital to Analog TV Converter Box for the US market, responding to strong consumer demand driven by the Digital TV Transition, scheduled to occur on Feb 17th 2009, and the Department of Commerce’s very successful Converter Coupon Program, which is in deployment now. On Feb 17th 2009, all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital. Older Analog TV’s will be unable to successfully receive over-the air Digital TV broadcasts. The STB7766B, available now, converts over-the-air Digital TV broadcasts to the Analog format, allowing older TV’s to continue to be used after Feb 17th 2009. The STB7766G Converter Box is eligible for purchase with the Department of Commerce’s $40 NTIA coupon, which can be applied for online at www.dtv2009.gov now. Measuring just under 7” by 5.5”, the STB7766B has a space-saving adaptable design, ideal for placement with existing TV and AV equipment. It comes with a remote control, batteries, and coax cable for connection to the TV. Along with giving improved picture, it also provides access to more content, since it supports all Digital TV formats and Multicast Channels. Easy-to-use features include:
